web : web is a result of "connect", we have web because we are connected, and browser comes as a standard based medium or information access, presentation and processing, when a web app "compute" it is then acting as a software application but since it is running on a web browser software it is limited
app: application software basic task is to "compute" information, and it comes with the need of operating system and hardware compatibility, when a software "connect" to the internet, it becomes a internet powered application and that is what a whatsapp is, but rather to install many apps installing one app that can change its ui and functionality as needed that is the idea of a browser
